Jenifer Wall

Jenifer Wall established her studio-based business in 1996, producing a range of one-off and repeatable metal objects. Frequently using oxidised silver as the base for her pieces, she creates contrast by applying white and yellow gold leaf to the pieces. The black of the oxidised metal outlines the brighter leafing, creating bold, clean lines in many of her pieces. The inspiration for her work comes from the coastline: pebbles and stones from different beaches; rows of battered and worn-down breakwaters, encrusted with tiny stones; crumbling cliffs with slipping layers of strata; a line of quartz running through dark stone.
