Makiko creates jewellery inspired by plant life, trees and flowers. Her elegant sculptural jewellery is formed from reclaimed slices of wood and layered with lustrous gold and silver leaf.
She aspires to create jewellery that “awakens feelings about nature’s natural forms and surrounding landscapes.”
